Access TeleCare adds esteemed clinical leadership to its executive team with the selection of Dr. Michael Genovese as our new chief medical officer of behavioral health.
A highly respected leader in behavioral healthcare, Dr. Genovese has decades of experience as a clinical psychiatrist, addiction specialist, and advocate for innovative care solutions. With a strong background in both patient care and systems-level leadership, Dr. Genovese is uniquely positioned to lead Access TeleCare’s behavioral health service line and advance our position as the standard bearer for telemedicine excellence.

Dr. Genovese’s distinguished career includes serving as chief medical officer at Acadia Healthcare, where he oversaw a vast network of 585 behavioral health facilities, and assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Arizona. He is also the medical director for the officer safety and wellness committee of the FBI National Academy Associates, where he supports first responders in managing trauma and building resilience. Dr. Genovese is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and Fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and American Society of Addiction Medicine. “Having Dr. Genovese join our executive leadership team marks a significant moment in Access TeleCare’s 20 years of leadership in telemedicine and for the future of behavioral health,” said Chris Gallagher, M.D., CEO of Access TeleCare.
