From Joshua DeTillio | Access TeleCare CEO
Through our work together, 2025 was another year of impact and growth for Access TeleCare.
We continued implementing leading specialty telemedicine programs in hospitals and clinics across the country to care for more patients with medical and behavioral health care needs in their local communities. Over more than 2,600 care sites nationwide, we provide telemedicine specialty care to people in nearly 15,000 zip codes, representing 65 percent of the U.S. population.
Setting the Standard for Excellence
Part of our organizational DNA is being the standard-bearer for telemedicine excellence.
This year, our Telemed IQ (TIQ) platform, carts and stations, and supporting infrastructure yet again earned HITRUST certification confirming that we meet the requirements and standards defined by leading cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks.
Our clinicians were featured in podcasts, research posters, trade and mainstream media, and conference presentations, sharing their clinical and telemedicine expertise with the broader healthcare industry to advance both medical knowledge and virtual care best practices. The amazing individuals at Access TeleCare have been busy developing and publishing research, presenting a myriad of posters, serving on the boards of prestigious healthcare industry organizations, winning awards for excellence and much more. Additionally, several of our executive leadership team members served as trusted sources of vital commentary and perspective for media outlets on the impact of the federal government shutdown on telehealth and the need for permanent supportive public policy to ensure telehealth is a central component of a modern U.S. healthcare system.
We also deepened our telehealth advocacy through our partnership with the American Telemedicine Association and leadership in the ATA’s Center of Digital Excellence. We contributed data to a groundbreaking report from the ATA confirming that telehealth is substitutive, not additive, reflecting its cost effectiveness. As Congress considers another extension of Medicare telehealth flexibilities in the new year, this report can inform the debate with comprehensive data documenting virtual care’s role not only in improving access to needed care but also lowering the cost of specialty care.
Advancing Our Team
The backbone of our success is our clinicians and operations staff. We could not do this work without our dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers and staff who provide 24/7 tech support, billing and contracting expertise, and other vital operations. More than 270 additional providers joined us this year to provide their time and talent in the service of greater access to specialty care.
A look back and reflection on the year’s successes are the foundation from which we will advance even further in 2026. With a shared mission to make high-quality specialty care accessible anywhere in the country, Access TeleCare and our hospital and clinic partners are relentlessly tearing down geographic and other barriers to timely access to specialty care.
Thank you for your partnership!
