TeleInfectious Disease Physician

About the Role:

Access TeleCare is seeking board-certified Infectious Disease Physicians to join our nationally recognized telemedicine team. This is an opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge team delivering high-acuity, high-complexity infectious disease care through a robust telemedicine platform. Inpatient Program Objectives:

  • Diagnose and manage complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections
  • Reduce unnecessary patient transfers while increasing hospital census
  • Support both on-site and remote providers in handling high-complexity cases

Outpatient Program Objectives:

  • Provide expert evaluation and longitudinal care for outpatient ID cases
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to manage chronic infections and treatment follow-up
  • Ensure timely consultations and reduce unnecessary hospital visits

Opportunity Overview:

  • Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
  • Flexible Schedule Options:
    • Inpatient
      • Daytime only, 7a–5p in the local time zone, Monday–Sunday
      • Minimum of 12 shifts/month (two Mon–Fri blocks + 1 weekend)
      • Or 4 shifts/month (weekends only)
    •  Outpatient
      • Shifts available Monday–Friday, 8a–12p and/or 1p–5p (time zone flexible)
      • Shift volume varies by clinic; most contracts require at least 5 shifts/month
      • Options include 4-hour shifts or full-day blocks depending on site need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease
  • Completion of an Infectious Disease Fellowship
  • Minimum 1 year of post-training clinical experience
