Kris Kistler, MS, CISSP, HCISPP, joins Access TeleCare as our  new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With over 25 years of education and experience in the information technology field and more than 15 years as a healthcare CISO, Kris brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the enterprise.

Access TeleCare’s Telemed IQ platform and telemedicine cart Infrastructure and environment are HITRUST certified, a distinction first earned in 2019 after a thorough and independent review of data protection and safety practices by the Health Information Trust Alliance, a global leader in privacy, information security, and risk management. This certification has been maintained year after year.

Kris’s extensive background includes roles in law enforcement, corporate security operations in the financial industry, telecommunications, Internet service provider industry, and managed security services provider (MSSP) roles. His breadth of experience positions him uniquely to address the increasing challenge of protecting cybersecurity in the healthcare sector.

Kris holds a Master’s Degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity with a specialty in Network Defense and has completed specialized post-graduate training in Risk Management from Harvard University. He has achieved over a dozen multi-disciplinary technical IT certifications across Systems, Network, and Security disciplines, including CISSP, HCISPP, HITRUST, GSEC, GLIT, ITIL, MCSE, CCA, and CNA.

As CISO, Kris will spearhead cross-functional initiatives  to improve our tactical risk posture while supporting Access TeleCare’s growth. By enhancing the maturity and efficiency of our security-related programs, he will play a key role in ensuring the organization’s long-term success and resilience.
