Access TeleCare neurologist, Amrou Sarraj, M.D., recently published peer-reviewed study findings on the efficacy of endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for treating patients with acute ischemic strokes.

Through this research, Dr. Sarraj makes the case for expanding patient eligibility for EVT treatments to improve clinical outcomes for patients experiencing an ischemic stroke.

Dr. Sarraj’s findings were most recently published in the Feb. 7, 2024 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and The Lancet. Earlier findings were published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
