As many rural hospitals across the country are facing tremendous challenges that threaten their ability to provide care, Palo Pinto General Hospital is leveraging technologies like telemedicine to not just serve its patients, but to expand its services to meet its community’s health care needs.
In a recent interview with D Magazine, Palo Pinto’s CEO Ross Korkmas discussed the hospital’s success and the role its telemedicine partnership with Access TeleCare has played in improving patient care.
“It’s leveraging technology to improve patient care,” Korkmas said. “It’s a way to get our physicians and our patients access to specialists they may not have otherwise had access to.”
