Delivering Care When it’s Needed, Not When it’s Available
A cardiologist by training, Dr. Gallagher recognized revolutionary potential of telemedicine in a rural Texas hospital in 2003 when a pediatric surgeon physician diagnosed an uncommon condition in a newborn via telemedicine. That formative experience led directly to the founding of Access Physicians ten years later and the creation of Texas’ first 100 percent virtual ICU.
Multiple acquisitions and a rebranding to Access TeleCare followed, but Gallagher never lost sight of the patient-centered approach to telemedicine that defines Access TeleCare as the nation’s leading telemedicine provider.
